Eligibility guidelines

Copay assistance may not be available to all patients. To determine eligibility, please refer to the program’s website.

To qualify for most manufacturer copay assistance programs, patients generally must:

  • Have a prescription for a medication approved by the FDA for a specific use.
  • Be 18 years or older, or have a caregiver or authorized person handling copay assistance.
  • Have commercial insurance, such as a plan from an employer or the Health Insurance Marketplace. Note: Commercial insurance does not include government-funded programs like Medicare, Medicaid, VA, DoD, or TRICARE. Some exceptions may apply.
  • Not be enrolled in government-funded health insurance programs such as Medicare, Medicaid, VA, DoD, or TRICARE, as commercial insurance does not include these programs.
  • Reside and receive treatment in the United States or U.S. Territories. If residing in California or Massachusetts and using a branded medication with a generic alternative, assistance may not cover the same expenses.
