Accredo is a specialty pharmacy that helps people with complex and rare conditions manage their treatment. We support patients from getting started through ongoing therapy. Learn more about some of the specialty conditions Accredo supports.

Specialty medications are used to treat complex and long-term conditions, like multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, or hepatitis C. They often need to be handled or stored in special ways.

• If you have a new prescription, ask your doctor to send it to Accredo. Once it's ready, a patient care advocate will call you to schedule delivery.
• If you already have a prescription, log into your Express Scripts account and go to your medications. If you have an active prescription you can manage at Accredo, you'll see a button that will redirect you to the Accredo website.
• You may also call Accredo at 800-803-2523 to speak to a patient care advocate. Hawaii residents, please call 808-650-6488.

Accredo's turnaround time is based on the date we set with you or your doctor. Usually, it takes about five to seven days to get new medications. This allows two to three days for a patient care advocate to help you schedule your delivery.

Refills typically take 24 to 48 hours to get to you. Call Accredo if you need your medication delivered overseas.

If you already have an account, you have four options:

1. Refill your medication through the Accredo website or mobile app. Log in or create an account to get started. You can also set up refill reminders by email or text message.
2. You can call us at the number on your prescription label or at 800-803-2523. Hawaii residents, please call 808-650-6488.
3. If you're out of refills, your doctor can fax us a new prescription at 888-302-1028. Hawaii residents, please use this fax number: 808-650-6487.
4. If you need to refill your prescription but haven't connected with Accredo, call 800-803-2523. Hawaii residents, please call 808-650-6488.

We use specialized packaging and coolant packs to ship refrigerated medications. We also adjust our packaging for weather forecasts. This helps keep the medication in its approved temperature range.

Overnight delivery may be an option for emergency medication needs, but isn't guaranteed.

Accredo will do a thorough coverage check for you. If your medication isn't covered, we'll contact you to review your options.

Contact us as soon as possible when:

• You have questions about your medications
• You have challenges taking your medications
• You're having a reaction to your medication or have a new allergy
• Any of your medications change or are discontinued
• You've been hospitalized or a hospitalization is planned
• There are changes in your overall health
• You're pregnant or planning to be
• You're breastfeeding
• Your address or phone changes
• You've lost phone service
• Your address changes due to relocation or because of a natural disaster
• You're not available to receive your shipment
• Your payment method changes

Home-generated biomedical waste is any type of syringe, lancet or needle (“sharps”) used in the home to either inject medication or draw blood. Special care must be taken with the disposal of these items to protect you and others from injury, and to keep the environment clean and safe.

Based on your therapy, an appropriate size and type of sharps container will be provided to you. The following simple rules will help to ensure your safety:

Sharps

• Place all needles, syringes, lancets and other sharp objects into a sharps container.
• If a sharps container is not available, a hard plastic or metal container with a screw-on top or other securable lid should be used.
• Before discarding, reinforce the top with heavy-duty tape.
• Do not use clear plastic or glass containers.
• Containers should be no more than 3/4 full.

Disposal

• Check with your local waste collection service to make sure these disposal procedures are acceptable in your community.
• Consult with your local health or fire department for the disposal policy of these types of items in your area.
• Ask your prescriber about the possibility of disposal of items in their office during your next visit or visit the Safe Needle Disposal website: https://safeneedledisposal.org.

Needle-stick safety

• Never replace the cap on needles.
• Dispose of used needles in a disposal container immediately after use.
• Plan for the safe handling and disposal of needles before using them.
• Promptly report all needle stick or sharps-related injuries to your prescriber.
• If your therapy does not involve the use of needles or sharp items, you do not need a sharps container.

Accredo Mobile App

Download the Accredo app from the Apple store or Google Play store. With the app, you can:

• Order refills of eligible medications
• Track orders/shipments
• View medication history
• Set dose reminders
• Pay balances
• Track symptoms

Yes. During the call to schedule your first order, please provide your copay assistance information. You can also add this information to your Accredo web or mobile account under "Payment Methods" in your profile.

You can check for financial assistance programs using our Copay Assistance search tool. You can add your copay assistance information to the "Payment Methods" section in your Accredo web or app profile.

The cost will be shared with you during your order scheduling phone call.

No, there's no additional cost for delivery. We use national carriers, like USPS, to ensure safe, on-time delivery.

You can pay with a debit or credit card, your checking account, or through a flexible spending account (FSA). We accept these credit cards: American Express, Discover, MasterCard, or Visa.
