What are the side effects of Elaprase®?
Any side effects are usually noted during administration and may include flushing, fever, headache, and rash. The frequency of adverse events decreases with continued use. Adverse reactions may include itching, difficulty in breathing, rash, injection-site reaction, edema, and seizures. Patients with compromised respiratory function or acute respiratory disease may be at higher risk of life-threatening complications. All patients should have appropriate medical support during the infusion.

How is Elaprase administered?
Elaprase is given intravenously. The length of the infusion is determined by your doctor. If you miss an infusion, contact your doctor or pharmacist to reschedule.

How long do I need to take Elaprase?
The course of treatment varies, as determined by your doctor.

How do I store Elaprase?
Store it in the refrigerator, but do not freeze it. Elaprase contains no preservatives and should be used immediately after dilution.
