What are the side effects of Fabrazyme®?
Any side effects are usually seen during infusion and may include fever, rigors, chest tightness, hypertension, hypotension, itching, fatigue, shortness of breath, rash, abdominal pain, or headache. The medicine itself may cause altered temperature sensation, edema, nausea, skeletal pain, sore throat, and runny nose. Allergic reactions are possible but rare.
How is Fabrazyme administered?
Fabrazyme is given intravenously. The length of the infusion is determined by your doctor. If you miss a scheduled infusion, contact your doctor or pharmacist to reschedule.
How long do I need to take Fabrazyme?
The course of treatment may vary and is determined by your doctor.
How do I store Fabrazyme?
Store it in the refrigerator. Because Fabrazyme contains no preservatives, you should use it immediately after reconstitution and dilution.
