We offer comprehensive clinical and reimbursement services for healthcare professionals.

• Insurance authorization and claims filing. Reimbursement specialists will research benefits, obtain prior authorizations, and file claims on the patient’s behalf.
• Delivery to the place of administration. We’ll ship many medications right to the patient’s home, doctor’s office, or clinical setting where the drug will be professionally administered. Shipping is at no additional cost to the patient. Accredo dispenses from three centralized locations and more than thirty branch locations.
• Clinical counseling and support. Our pharmacists and registered nurses counsel new patients on how to use, store, and administer their medication, as well as reasonable expectations for their therapy.
• Patient-specific billing program. Patients can authorize us to ship their medication to their home, doctor’s office, or clinic but to send the bill directly to the insurance provider.
• Compliance checks. Through counseling, personal support, and regular contact, we encourage our patients to comply with their treatment regimen.
• Triage services. Occasionally, Accredo is not a participating provider in a given payor network and therefore unable to serve a patient. In such instances, we have a commitment to route the prescription to a participating pharmacy and quickly inform the doctor or clearinghouse where it was sent.
• Home injection training. If a drug needs to be injected and the physician orders the training, we’ll give a patient instruction to help him or her over this hurdle.
• In-home infusion. If you decide that a patient will benefit from home infusions, we’ll coordinate the details. Accredo has its own nursing staff, plus working relationships with home health agencies. We’ll research the patient’s benefits, provide the medication, and arrange for a nurse to make a home visit in accordance with the doctor’s plan of treatment.
• Testing reminder. When a therapy requires prior testing, we’ll call the patient to explain the test procedure and why it’s necessary.
• Local nursing support. With more than thirty branch pharmacies and a wide network of nurses, we can provide clinical support and intervention throughout the country.
